A Proven Record of Success
Junk It Junk Removal has worked on multiple complex projects including cleaning up natural areas with steep inclines. We have worked with the City of Portland, Multnomah County, the City of Tigard and the City of Vancouver, Washington on large-lot public cleanups including debris removal, waste mitigation and removal, sharps disposal, mattress and bulky waste removal. We also work with cities on continuous cleanup of public trash can areas. We have a contract with Multnomah County with a Cooperative Vendor Agreement that enables us to work with local governments and some non-profits to conduct surplus disposition including removal and handling of surplus office furniture, electronics, medical and dental equipment, as well as other materials, as well as debris removal.
We also partnered with SOLVE Oregon on a year-long initiative targeting high-impact areas such as Marine Drive
and Delta Park. In this role, our crews facilitated bulky waste removal at volunteer-led cleanup events,
handling 6,000 to 12,000 pounds of debris per site while maintaining safety and community engagement.
Types of Projects
Micro Trash Cleaning
We take on detailed micro trash and litter cleanup in natural areas and urban corridors. At Big Four Corners, our 30-person crew hand-picked small litter, removed abandoned encampment debris, collected sharps, and hauled out illegal dump piles. This work keeps plastics out of waterways, improves environmental safety, and makes trails and rights-of-way welcoming for everyone.
Nature Park Clean Up
We support Portland Parks & Recreation and the Ecology Department with debris removal and trail cleanup across natural areas, including the Springwater Corridor, Oaks Bottom, and Rocky Butte. We removed dumped materials, abandoned camp debris, and other debris then hauled and disposed of the materials properly. We treat every park like a shared community space and leave it safer and more accessible.
Illegal Dumping Response
Illegal dumping cleanup is a core specialty for our crews. We respond to City of Portland, City of Vancouver and City of Tigard for dispatches for dumped materials and Encampment Cleanup along road edges, parking lots, and greenspaces. We also hold encampment cleanout agreements with the City of Tigard and the City of Vancouver. We dispose of all materials safely so neighborhoods are cared for and restored. Then, we document each site and provide reports to the project managers in their preferred format.
Public Trash Can Maintenance
We maintain and clean around City of Portland street-side public trash cans on sidewalks and business corridors. These are frequent hotspots for overflow and side dumping. When bulky waste or spillover shows up, we are dispatched to remove it, bag it, sweep the area, and reset the site so the block looks cared for again.
Janitorial Services
We provide reliable janitorial and facility cleaning for public projects and temporary operations. On the Bull Run Filtration System project we handle contractor trailer janitorial, trash service, wipe-downs, and restocking. We also support smaller and short-term city sites that need consistent attention, even without full-time staff.
Pre-Construction Site Clearing
Before development begins, we handle full site cleanouts for vacant and city-owned lots with heavy illegal dumping. On the West Lents project we removed widespread debris across multiple areas so the site could move to inspection, grading, and build stages. We clear mattresses, tires, appliances, scrap, vegetation, and scattered trash so crews and equipment can roll in safely.
Renovation and Prep Clean Outs
Before a remodel or reconfiguration, we perform office and facility cleanouts, furniture removal, and debris hauling so contractors can start fresh. Under our Multnomah County junk removal contract we have supported multi-site cleanouts and internal moves, coordinating schedules with facilities teams and following disposal and recycling guidelines.
Post-Construction Cleaning and Hauling
When construction is finished, we provide final cleanup and hauling for public buildings, parks, and office remodels. We remove scrap materials and packaging, address drywall dust and residues, and leave spaces clean and inspection-ready so turn-over happens without delays.
Facility Turnover and Move-In Prep
